About the Job As a Tennis Professional at Shalom Austin you will be joining a brand-new tennis program. Our facility includes six brand-new tennis courts that include QuickStart lines on four courts and four pickleball courts on the remaining two courts. You will report to the Tennis Director and will be an integral part of building and growing the program to its full potential. This is a part-time hourly position. What you will be doing: * Provides beginning through advanced instruction (private and group) for all levels and ages of players. * Assists in promoting and conducting tennis clinics, private lessons, special events and programs to attract and maintain members’/guests’ tennis interests. * Develops safe, professional, and comprehensive tennis lessons and programs to ensure students develop along a pathway that will encourage continued involvement in tennis. * Ensure students understand tennis rules, scoring procedures, safety rules and tennis etiquette. * Enforces all Shalom Austin’s rules and regulations governing the use of the club/facility, its equipment and other property. * Opportunity to string racquets. * Quickly and efficiently responds to member/guest questions, comments, and concerns in a professional, tactful manner. Requirements: * NetGeneration Certified. * Experience teaching tennis lessons to adults and juniors of various levels. * USTA 4.0 minimum. * Thorough knowledge of the games of Tennis and Pickleball. * Positive attitude and self-motivated. * Works well collaboratively in a team environment. * Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check). * Adhere to our Mission, Core Values, and all HR policies and procedures. * Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.
