Located 12 miles from historic Savannah, our Club offers members access to six championship golf courses, two marinas, 31 tennis courts, 15 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, eight unique dining venues, five clubhouses, five swimming pools and a 52,000 sq. ft., wellness center. Tennis Professional Job Responsibilities: * Teaches and promotes the junior and adult lesson programs in a professional manner. * Provides a written lesson plan for junior and adult development programs. * Promotes Tennis events and socials. * Assists in growing league teams, formation of teams, working with captains to balance teams, recruitment of new players, and works to form Junior Teams. * Creates a strong social calendar and attends all major tennis functions, tournaments, and or parties. * Attends weekly staff meetings. * Assists the Director of Court Sports in the creation, coordination, and implementation of programs, events, and tournaments. * Assists members with activities such as lessons, leagues, tournaments or general club activities, etc. * Promotes The Landings Golf & Athletic Club through the community; actively seeking methods to promote the Club and amenities to the community resulting in 5-10 hours of administrative work weekly and/or as necessary. * Assists in necessary court maintenance, when needed. * Reconciles daily lessons/clinics billings at the end of each day. * Secures courts for lessons and clinics. * Maintains his/her lesson books. * Performs all other duties as assigned. Tennis Professional Minimum Qualifications: * Two years minimum experience in teaching, administration of tournaments, special events, and court maintenance procedures. * Must be experienced in the entire service operation to include pro-shop, court maintenance intra/inter club league, and USTA sanctions and administration. * Must have appropriate teaching or sport certifications. Tennis Professional Physical Requirements: * Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, hears, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. * Occasionally sits. * Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
